Nicolás
The engine behind the studio. Nicolás designs the games, runs production, and builds the technical systems underneath — from custom physics to engine tooling that doesn't exist yet.
Mad Grove Studio is named after the native groves of Uruguay — trees that grow together, supporting each other to reach further than they could alone.
We're a small game development team of four from Uruguay, operating as a cooperative game studio where revenue is shared and every voice counts. The studio was built around the conviction that small teams can make ambitious games — if they build the right foundations.
The "mad" in Mad Grove isn't chaos. It's acceleration. A commitment to grow fast, learn deep, and ship work we're proud to put our name on.
Five indie games in development. All built with custom systems. None of them templated.

Magaly carries a character from first concept sketch to a fully sculpted, textured, rigged, and animated model. Character and hard-surface alike — if it moves on screen, it moved through her hands first.
Andrés designs the worlds — environments, robotic units, and the pixel art that gives them grit — then lays out the levels players move through. Concept to playable space.
Julieta is the newest branch in the grove — a games developer with an encyclopedic love of indie titles and a sharp eye for what makes them tick. Actively shipping code and growing fast.
We don't build on top of what we don't understand. Every system we use, we built — or we understand it down to the root.
Mad Grove operates as a shared-revenue cooperative game studio. Everyone has skin in the game. Everyone has a voice.
Mad growth, but not reckless. We expand our capabilities intentionally — one solid system at a time.
